Dogs’ holiday

Not scared of little ferries any more dad.

Are you going to throw that stick or what?

Ah, a lake to myself.

A little rock climbing

Absolutely nothing beats a good roll

Num, num, nummmmmmmmm, gimmie, gimmie, gimmie…

Dance like nobody is watching

Why are my paws turning brown?

Is this a tree?

The water’s calling

Time for a quick dip

A little more rock climbing

  2. If dogs were to choose a holiday, one filled with running, climbing and swimming would certainly be it!

  3. Your four legged friends really know how to give a gal and her hubby a good time. What a lot of pleasure they are having.

It is such a sweet montage…..lovely.

    • Thanks Menhir, yes, our dogs certainly know how to give us a good time, they appreciate being away, always good to see dogs with shining eyes!xxx

  4. This is fabulous…..a dog’s holiday indeed….and something that is beautiful and joyful and full of love and innocence…just what the world needs. Sending love to you all…janet. xxx

  5. Pure joy. Dogs need holidays too. And it makes our holidays so much richer to share them with pups–that unadulterated pleasure is catching. Thank you for bringing us along too!

    • Dogs sure do need a break, just like us, something your dogs know well!!! It is lovely taking dogs away….xxx

  6. Great images. It’s a dog’s life.

  7. How good it is to share time with happy dogs.

    • You just can’t beat it Shimon. Lovely to hear from you. I think of you and Nechama watching each other! xxx

  8. I always enjoy seeing Sam and Annie at The Lakes knowing you and hubby had a good time too.

  9. Lucky dogs and a beautiful spot!

  10. I’m so glad you had glorious weather. It helps to make everyone happy, and from your photos, it seems everyone was happy, indeed. That’s beautiful country, for sure. England is much more varied than I ever realized. I think most of us grow up thinking England is London and a few hedges on the outskirts. This certainly is a place where I could spend a happy week: rock climbing, swimming, rolling in the dirt…. Wait — maybe not that last!

  11. Your dogs are smiling all over! Looks like a great holiday, the weather is good, and the scenery…gorgeous! Having the dogs there to enjoy it with you is lovely….makes me miss our first dog who loved the beach and, any water really….

    • You just can’t beat a dog that loves water, some do, some don’t. Annie adores water and comes alive when playing in a lake. A happy collie is a sight to behold! Thanks Gerrie.xxx

  12. And me….thanks Jess.xxx

  13. Sounds good to me..

  14. Lovely photos – they look so happy. No Buddy?

    • No…no Buddy. The cottage only permits two dogs. He would love it there though, daughter takes him to locations like this so he doesn’t miss out. Thanks Sue.xxx

  15. love them all!!! 🙂 happy dogs and happy humans…

  16. Ha ha ha ha ha – just love it! My latest son in law came complete with mad dog. She couldn’t have been more thrilled when they went kayaking in the Lakes. Leaping on the boat. Leaping off the boat. Swimming to the shore. Running along the shore. Swimming back to the kayak. Climbing in and all over them … dog paradise.

Hope you are feeling the effects too, of being in a beautiful and calming place. Hugs xxx

    • Hahahaha….love hearing about that crazy pup, I can just imagine her getting in the kayak dripping wet and soaking all and sundry. I always feel soothed after a week in the lakes, not used to that much sun though, usually it rains. Thanks Gill.xxx

  17. Perfectly perfect, Dina! I laughed so hard at, “Why are my paws turning brown?” and “Is this a tree?” Almost fell out of my chair. The gorgeous scenery just takes my breath away. What happy pups, so many rocks to climb and so much splashing and rolling to accomplish! I’m betting the dogs’ parents had quite a holiday, too. Joy and more to you; thank you for these blessedly beautiful pictures of our earth when my heart was most in need of them. Love you, K

    • Lol…thanks Kitty. Sam had me laughing out loud, he was staring at his paws, looking really puzzled, the doberman in him always comes out in summer and he goes back to a black and tanish dog! Lovely to have you laughing, yes, we all had a lovely time…despite my hip. I will need to sort that soon. All my love to you, and yours! Loved seeing all your kitties on facebook!!!xxx

  18. Superb collection of pictures….I just LOVE that first one….. Exceptional!!!! Hugs!🤗🤗
