Don’t sweat the small stuff

Somehow, I’m always behind, blogging wise. Time to catch up, I think. Recently , I spent a day playing out in the Baltic Triangle in Liverpool, with good friends. This is a new urban project that is rejuvenating a derelict area, on the outskirts of the city. It’s all very bohemian, food stalls, bars and flea markets, the weirder the…

Returning to normality

The hay run can be quite challenging…everyone wants to be a part of it! As usual, wildlife is full to over-flowing with hedgehogs. Almost 100 at the moment. The really sickly ones need hand-feeding. This little chap has the most awful lung-worm and was close to death when he came in. He’s hanging on, three days later, thankfully. We also…

Holly, the now HUGE hedgehog, is STILL in the rabbit hutch hardening off……I’d hoped that she would be released by now and…

Rescue update and a new volunteer

This year the rescue has been totally bombarded with injured wildlife and unwanted small mammals. There doesn’t seem to be any respite, for as fast as animals are released or re-homed double the number take their place. Of late there has been a shocking increase in cruelty cases. Last week two guinea-pigs were brought in, their owner had moved out and simply left…
